A second planning session to structure the distribution of future book deliveries was held in the offices of the Minister of Tourism. Bobbie Nemerson, Kathy Oberle, and Ms. Sylvester met with the Honorable Mrs. Brenda Hood, Minister of Tourism and Mrs. Yolande Joseph, Coordinator of Gender and Family Affairs. The Boaters for Books program will now be administered by the Department of Tourism, under the direct supervision of the Honorable Mrs. Brenda Hood, Minister of Tourism. Mrs. Yolande Joseph, who is coordinator of Gender and Family Affairs under the Dept of Tourism, will be the effective administrator. The books will be shipped to Ms. Sylvester, Director of Library Services, who will be reporting on the endeavor to the Ministry of Tourism. The books will be immediately upon receipt be distributed through the book mobile to the many schools who do not now have libraries. In addition, packets of books will be "dropped" to the Principals in those schools that are not often enough visited by the book mobile. Grenada has 11 libraries, including the 2 in Carriacou. Currently received books are on their way into the communities and schools via Grenada's book mobile services.
