Short on time?

Just send us a few new or used storybooks, illustrated
reference books or colorful elementary school reading books.
Shop the local Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other "dollar" bookstores.

Or give us a few dollars and we'll do the rest.

Storybooks can be hard bound or paperback providing they are in reasonably good condition.
The more pictures the better! Many students have limited language skills. Illustrations provide interest, entertain and educate.
Most West Indian children share a proud African legacy. Review the books carefully to eliminate any that are culturally insensitive. Stories that teach morals, communication skills and the value of sharing ideas are most appropriate. Text books are not appropriate.
Stories featuring animals, inanimate objects come to life (like "Little Toot" and the current "Thomas the Train Engine" series), and wacky animations (like Dr. Seuss) are always welcome. Bible and historical stories written for youngsters are also welcome. Text books are not appropriate.
If you are uncertain about a particular book, send it. All books will be reviewed by an educated librarian.
